He was once famous for his reluctance to marry, but shunned his bachelor status last year when he tied the knot to his Swedish girlfriend.

And Hugh Grant seems more loved-up than ever with wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein as they stepped out to support his new film The Gentlemen at a VIP screening that was held at the Curzon Mayfair in London on Tuesday.

The actor, 59, couldn’t help but smile as he posed beside the television producer, 39, and wrapped his arm around her waist when they stepped out onto the red carpet.

Anna looked stunning in a black midi-dress which had semi-sheer cut-out panels to highlight her slender frame.

She completed the look with a pair of black ankle boots, and kept her personal items in a simple black clutch bag.

Her brunette tresses cascaded over her shoulders in loose waves, and she wore a light palette of make-up to accentuate her pretty features.

Meanwhile, Hugh looked dapper in a black suit, which he teamed with an open-collared blue shirt and smart black shoes.

The award-winning actor married his long-term Swedish girlfriend Anna in a low-key ceremony in Chelsea in May 2018.

The couple have been together for seven years, and married for one year, they share three children, John Mungo, who was born in September 2012, and two other children born in 2015 and 2018 – although they have never announced the names.

Father-of-five Hugh also shares two children with his ex Tinglan Hong – Tabitha, seven, and Felix, six.

The Four Weddings and a Funeral star was famous for his own reluctance to marry. He split up in 2000 with his actress girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley after 13 years together.

He told People magazine in 2015: ‘I’m not really a believer in marriage. I’ve seen very few good examples, maybe five, in my life, but I think otherwise it’s a recipe for mutual misery.’

Hugh previously gave a rare insight into fatherhood in a candid chat while promoting his movie A Very English Scandal.

The father-of-five confessed his life is ‘chaotic’ while speaking at an LA press conference, shortly before revealing he sees fellow A-lister Penelope Cruz at playgroup where their children ‘try and kill each other’.

He is famously guarded about his private life but no doubt delighted fans with the admissions about life as a Grant.

The Gentlemen is set to be released in cinemas across the UK on 1st January 2020. It will be released in the US on 24th January 2020.
